Ramissa’s project is centered on providing fully upcycled textile products that embody contemporary African heritage. We aim to serve the emerging middle class in Kenya, which has experienced significant economic growth, as well as the African community worldwide, Africa enthusiasts, and advocates for sustainability and circular economy. Our approach involves upcycling discarded materials to create unique and valuable products, thus reducing textile waste in the environment.
Michael has always been passionate about how beauty, ethics and commerce intersect to yield products, often finding his work at the intersection of sustainability and luxury. He had a wealth of experience working with artisans in marginalised communities alchemising waste to desirable pieces
Products made of high-quality materials, crafted with great attention to detail, and imbued with a positive energy that promotes the extension of life.
In addition, our project focuses on social empowerment. We collaborate with women and men from coastal communities in Kenya to enhance their artisan skills, provide training and opportunities for greater market independence, and support the growth of local economies. Our efforts help marginalized communities thrive and build a more equitable and sustainable future for all.
